Sexy & Safe at Home with H.E.A.T.
Inclusive sex ed can change the world. To be a part of that world, join us for Sexy and Safe at Home with H.E.A.T. to dive deeper into sexuality topics that often go neglected by mainstream, or nonexistent, sexual health education: prioritizing pleasure, breaking down the binary, exposing the Black maternal health crisis, destigmatizing sex work, exploring kink, demystifying disabled sex, and so much more. With host Jianna “J” D’Addario, UF Psychology and Theories and Politics of Sexuality alumnus and H.E.A.T.’s sex health educator for over a year, we will build a better, sexier, safer world with unapologetically queer and revolutionary conversations about sex. Through biweekly interviews with community members, organizers, and experts, we’ll explore the knowledge and stories that can empower us to better understand sexuality, sexual health, ourselves, and each other.

The Black Maternal Health Crisis with Alexandria Gibson
Join us in kicking off the Sexy and Safe at Home with HEAT Podcast and recognizing Black Maternal Health Week! This episode will feature Alexandria Gibson, a joyous and radical light who graces Gainesville, Florida with her holistic reproductive and sexual health services at The Goddess Project and the world with her Pussy Talk. We spoke in detail about Black maternal health and addressed the harm in our country's Western, medical (and profit-driven) approach to childbirth. Beyond that, we explored the changes that we need personally, socially, culturally, and systemically to keep Black birthing folks safe, respected, and joyful. Black maternal mortality rates that are nearly three times higher than the maternal mortality rates of their white counterparts require numerous, expansive conversations and solutions that account for the complexity of the issue, and we hope the discussion we're sharing with you helps to build the world we envision full of healthy, thriving Black families. Thank you for taking the time to listen<3
